Brisbane Marina Development Application Submitted

Direct Commercial Property is pleased to announce the submission of the Development Application for Brisbane Marina, marking a significant milestone in the progression of this landmark waterfront project.

Located at Hemmant on more than 30,000m² of Brisbane River frontage, Brisbane Marina has been conceived as a purpose-built marine precinct that brings together premium marine workstores, private marina berths and integrated marine services within a carefully master-planned waterfront environment.

As development partner, Direct Commercial Property is working alongside Frank Developments to help deliver a project that reflects the evolving needs of Brisbane’s growing marine industry while creating long-term value through thoughtful planning, quality design and strategic location.

The original Development Application proposed a design-led precinct featuring 67 architecturally designed marine workstores, more than 70 private marina berths and a range of innovative marine facilities and supporting amenities. The vision was to create more than a traditional marina by integrating commercial functionality with contemporary waterfront design in a destination that embraces Brisbane’s connection to the river.

The submission of the Development Application represented the first major planning milestone for Brisbane Marina and established the foundation for the project’s ongoing refinement through consultation, planning and design development.

Since the original application, the project has continued to evolve through collaboration with the broader consultant team, resulting in a revised proposal that further strengthens the precinct’s relationship with the river and enhances the overall masterplan.
